Frederick Fleszar Obituary

FLESZAR - Frederick J., M.D. August 12, 2008 of Magnolia, MA; formerly of Cheektowaga, NY; beloved husband of the late Marie S. (nee Stala) Fleszar; dearest father of Eva (Robert) Shannon; dear grandfather of Andrew and Maya Rydzewski; brother of the late Raymond Fleszar; also survived by nieces. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday 6-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 85 George Urban Blvd., (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM and from Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel at 11:30 AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Dr. Fleszar was the former Chief of Emergency Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.

It was always a treat to have Dr. Fleszar visit our office. He always had a smile on his face and something positive to say. He told me that he was known as the "Singing Surgeon" and was such a sweet man that he brought in a tape he had made of himself singing. He told me had sung all parts of the harmony on the tape. It was beautiful music and I will never forget the doctor.
