George Knopka Obituary

KNOPKA - George L. Age 93, of West Seneca, NY; August 15, 2008; beloved husband of 57 years of Patricia M. (nee Raussey); dearest father of Janet (Daniel) Covino, Nancy (Edward) Covino, Judith (Michael) Grabski, and the late Thomas G. Knopka; cherished grandfather of 9 and the late Peter Grabski; brother of the late Raymond (late Mary), Norman (late Marion) and Carl (late Evelyn) Knopka; brother-in-law of Dorthea Stoddard of Sarasota, FL. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews. Family present Monday 3-8 PM at the HOY FUNERAL HOME INC, 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca where prayers will be said Tuesday morning at 9:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from St. John Vianney Church at 10. Friends invited. Mr. Knopka was a member of St. John Vianney Church, Holy Name and Seniors, Buffalo Typographical Union #9, Harvey D. Morin VFW Post #2940, American Legion Post #735 and a World War II Veteran of the US Navy. Flowers gratefully declined.
