Dear Jan and family,
I was shocked to learn of Fred's passing. I read it on the AACA web-site under the Chandler section.
Kandie and I always enjoyed our time with you two at Hershey and especially when you and the other Chandler owners came out here to Seattle for our "get-together" in 2004. We are sorry we couldn't make the past two Hershey meets or the recent Chandler meeting in Buffalo.
Fred was a great and very kind man. He did a tremendous job as our Chandler Club President.
He had a wonderful smile and was always friendly and cheerful to everyone.
He will be missed.

Our deepest condolences to the Hansen family from his antique auto friends in central New Jersey. We were first acquainted to Fred and the family when we were introduced through Jess Jordan where they stayed at the Scandinavian Hotel in Meyerstown, PA. That was when Fred started attending the fall car flea market and auto show in Hershey, Penn which he regularly attended. That was 20 plus years ago and when Erik was just a lad. Fred was looking for Chandler parts along with studying other Ford model A cars for tips on how to restore his. Jules and Terry Baron fondly remember their vacation to Niagara Falls a few years ago which brought them through the Buffalo & Seneca area to meet with Fred and the family. We were delighted to see the second Chandler car he recently bought and was able to share with the family. Fred’s mild and soft spoken manner will be very, very much missed.

To The Hansen Family
Our lives are so much richer for knowing Fred. But for the memories the pain in our hearts would be too much to bear. Time will temper the pain but never the memories. What a wonderful wonderful man.

Dear Jan, Erick & Jill,
What a great guy! Our sincerest sympathy to you all. His generous help and cheerful advice were always deeply appreciated by all of us in the Chandler-Cleveland Club, especially me. Although we were separated by hundreds of miles, it was always special to visit with Fred and you Jan at old car events. Fred will always live in our hearts. Really.

Fred will never be forgotten. Not only was he my neighbor for many years but also a big brother to me. We also shared the same birthday. I have many memories of him and of the family and he was a good, kind man. Jan you were so good for him and he was so happy you two had many years together.
He is now with Mom, Dad and Pete and will join them in watching over all of you. God Bless you Fred.

The Aeschbacher family is very saddened by this news. The Hansen family were the greatest of neighbors and friends. Fred would never hesitate to help any way he could.

Jan - I am so sorry. You and Fred were my inspiration. I truly didn't believe there were any happily married couples until I met the two of you. I know you want to be strong but you need to allow yourself to grieve. Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you. I know getting through the rest of this life without Fred is going to be difficult but remember you'll have all of eternity with him.
My prayers and thoughts are with you.
