To my old friend Mike and family and to the Gemza family,

I have been so saddened to read of Kathies passing. I remember Kathy as a good not only childhood friend but also a high school friend. I was so happy when I had met Mike for the first time you were so much alike and were meant for each other. Spending many evenings with you and Kathy at the hub (before children) and losing track of you all when moving away. I know that with prayer and your love for each other Kathy will remain in all of your hearts forever as well as her friends.

May she rest in peace.

Dear Mike, Jill and Jeff:

Father of mercies and God of all consolation, you pursue us with untiring love and dispel the shadow of death with the bright dawn of life.

Comfort Mike, Jill and Jeff in their loss and sorrow. Be their refuge and their strength, Lord, and lift them from the depths of grief into the peace and light of your presence.

Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, by dying has destroyed our death, and by rising, restored our life.

Enable Mike, Jill and Jeff therefore to press on toward Him, so that, after our earthly course is run, He may reunite us with those we love, especially their beloved Mother and Wife, when every tear will be wiped away.

I loved her, too.

We ask this prayer though Christ our Lord. Amen.
Love, Aunt Carol.

The Guardian's Farwell

Softly and Gently, dearly ransomed soul,
In My most loving arms I now enfold thee.
And o'er the purging waters as they roll,
I poise thee and I lower thee and hold thee.
And with great care I dip thee into the lake: And thou without a sob or a resistance does through the flood your rapid passage take, sinking deep, deeper into the dim distance.
Angles to whom the willing task is given shall tend and nurse and lull you as you lay; and Masses on the earth and prayers in heaven shall aid you to the Throne of the most high.
Farwell, dear friends, but not for ever; be brave and patient on this bed of sorrow. Swiftly shall pass the night of trial here, And I will come and wake you on the morrow. Friends of Kathy Lewis.

Into your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our sister, Kathleen Sandra Lewis,
In this life you embraced her with your tender love; deliver her now from every evil and help her enter eternal rest.
The old order has passed away: welcome Kathy then into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain but the fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever.
You were dearly loved, my sister, and will be sadly missed.
May Christ who called you, take you home, and angles lead you to eternal rest with light unending shining on you, Kathy. Love, Your sister, Carol
