Milt Schoch was a high school friend of my father, Frank Laverne Dietter. Milt lived with Dad's family, Eva and George Dietter, and brother Bob, in Buffalo the last year or two of high school. As children we learned Milt's name and met him when he and his wife visited our parents in Holley, NY. When we attended the memorial service for Milt's wife I saw their wedding pictures--some of which showed my father, who was in their wedding party. At that time, I had an opportunity to visit with Milt. After Dad's death Milt and I exchanged e-mails a few times. I have fond memories of this man who was a life-long friend of my dad's, even though their friendship was maintained through distance and time. On behalf of my sister, Pen, and me, I want to express my condolences to you for the loss of your father and grandfather from this earthly life.

"Uncle Milt" was a smiling memory of a childhood visit to the the farm for most of my life, then in my late forties he was kind enough to recontact me and we had several wonderful conversations about our shared love of theatre and all the arts. As the daughter of his brother, Ed, who had been lost to my life, it was heart strengthening to retie a family strand, if only for a short time. My sympathy to those who had the chance to know him well, and specifically to my remarkable "Aunt Jane". Love from Claudia Schoch Shugert in St. Louis

Norm, Don, Jean, Milt and families,
We wish you all our sincere sympathy. How fortunate you were to have him for so long. He was one of a kind and as happy and interesting as any man could be. He was so proud of his family and always showed it when you talked to him.

My family is saddened to learn about the passing of your father. He and your mother lived next door to my parents - Janet and Jack Scholterer - in Clarence Center. We loved listening to Milton tell stories -- especially about the theatrical productions he had been in. He was such a happy, upbeat man. We are very sorry for your loss.

I was one of his nurses at Green Fields Mannor. Milt was a joy to the whole facility. Everyone there loved him. I miss his bounding voice and pleasent attitude even in the twlight hours of his life. My heart goes out to his friends and family for their loss. Milt was a wonderful man, I miss him.
