To our friends, the Catalanos:
Mary Ann and I were blessed to have Alex make us feel welcome when we moved to Kenton Pl in 1992. He always was the first to wave, smile or ask how "Aunt Nora" was.
We have always felt that the Catalanos were part of our family.
The true legacy of a person is how their passing affects others. Alex will be truly missed by his large circle of friends and family. May he be at rest and may God comfort you in these difficult times.

To the Catalano family, I just want to tell you how sorry I am to hear Alex has passed. Frank, I hope you remember me. I worked for you at Laks Buick in 76-77 and you got me a job with Alex at Deronde and Wilson Boat Sales. What I learned from both of you has helped me time and time again. As I sit here I remember the mentor, and the time he took with me. I want to thank you and Alex for your guidance and your values, my life was impacted by knowing you both. I was lucky enough to have 4 mentors in my life, the Catalano Brothers were 2 of those people. I'm sorry for your loss.

Dear Wendy,
I was looking for my Uncle's death noitce in the paper yesterday when I saw Alex's picture. I was shocked and very saddened to read of his passing. I met you years ago when you first met Alex. I was dating Todd Evans and we spent many good times together. My husband and I saw you & Alex at Mercy Ambulatory about 5 years ago, your son had fallen and hit his head. I remember calling Alex at work the next day to be sure your son was doing alright. He was a kind man and I have very fond memories of you & Alex. To all the Catalanos: I was so sorry to read of Lexy's death. Although it has been many, many years since we've seen you regularly, the Starkeys have always felt a special kinship with the Catalanos due to our parents' strong friendship. It was a pleasure to visit briefly with Lexy at my mom's wake almost three years ago. (Great to see Rosemary, too!) My brother enjoyed having the Catalanos as neighbors on Kenton Place for a number of years. I know my family joins me in wishing all of you the very best at this sad time.
