Dearest Rooth family,
Fondly I remember his humble ways...It's been twenty years since Little Cagers and Mr Rooth was a pillar of hardwork and dedication every weekend for our sons. I had the honor to sit with this mother and she shared the stories of how hard her sons worked during the summer and was eager to go back to college and become the professional men they are...I asked her last name and she proudly said "Rooth that's my son the referee" thank you Mr Rooth for helping us to raise our sons...May the Lord be with all of you.
Aloha...

I was deeply saddened to learn of Mickey's passing. Although I have had no contact with the Rooth family for the better part of 45 years, I grew up on Columbia Ave. and was priviledged to have Mickey as a childhood playmate and friend. My sincere sympathies go out to the entire Rooth family.

Delores and family,
Delores, never having the opportunity to meet you or your family personally I can tell you Mickey was always one of the kindest and the most friendly men I have met all of my years. I never had the opportunity to see Mick that much but he would always remember to ask about my family and had nice things to say when I did see him.
Mickey will surely be missed and I will certainly remember him in my prayers. May he rest in peace.

Mickey and I were close friends in elementary school. One of my fondest memories of him (aside from the night he scored a basket from mid-court at Memorial Auditorium) was when we were in kindergarten. We built a "store" out of large building blocks. The teacher said we had to share it with the girls - which got us both mad. We cooked up a plan and Mickey took the cart the building blocks were stored on and rammed it into the store. The blocks fell. The girls cried. The teacher took Mickey by the ear. BUT, he never squealed on me - what more could you ask of a true friend! My sincerest condolences to the whole family, and I will remember all of you in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and relatives. Mr. Rooth coached me basketball at St. Marys of the Lake School for 3 years and thought me so much. It is because of him that I have a love of the game and have gone on to play in college as well as to coach. I have always admired and looked up to him. He was a wonderful man!

I didn't know Mr. Rooth on a personal level but on a professional level and he was one of the most caring and giving attorneys I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Always a true gentleman and always doing the best possible job for his clients whether he was retained or assigned. He will truly be missed by the legal profession on a whole and by me, personally. He was really a wonderful man and my thoughts and prayers are with his entire family at this time.
