John Bryk Obituary

BRYK - John Joseph Jr. August 23, 2008, former Buffalo News compositor, passed away peacefully on Saturday, in Mountain View Hospital, Las Vegas, NV. He retired from the Buffalo News after 49 years in October, 2006, and subsequently relocated with his wife to Las Vegas, NV, in March, 2007. He was 67. Loving husband of 46 years of Margaret Rose (Nasal) Bryk; loving father of Jacqueline (Clay) Holbrook and Scott (Christina) Bryk; loving grandfather of Russell and Christopher; brother of Richard (Marcy) Bryk; brother-in-law of Barbara and Peter Pieczonka; beloved nephew of Ann Lewecki and John (Jean) Mik; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral service from the BARRON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME INC., 3025 William St. near Union Rd., Cheektowaga, where family will be present Thursday evening 7-9 and Friday 2-4, 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 30 at 10 AM in St. Philip the Apostle Church, 950 Losson Rd., Cheektowaga. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Fatima National Shrine, Lewiston, NY, PO Box 167, Youngstown, NY 14174.
