I will forever be there for Joe, Joelle, our family, and friends. Thank you for inspiring me with so much love, strength, courage, and hope.

To Joe & Joelle, my loving mother, father & Mary, my loving husband Kevin, my dear brother Michael & Sue, Kevin & Ashley & Mark, Adrian, Alicia, & Alainia, Mr. Mike, Mary, & family, my cousin - Cindy & Tom: as our family has endured such a tragic and heartbreaking loss of losing a loving wife & mother, dear-sweet sister, sister-in-law, aunt, godmother, & cousin - our love for Michele and each other will continue to grow. There are countless cherished memories that were filled with love, laughter, and peace. Thank you all for your support, and I will always be there for each and every one of you. And to our extended family, we are blessed to have you in our lives.

To Michele’s amazing and heartfelt friends: thank you for being there for my dear sister. She was so blessed with having all of you with her, as Joelle’s wonderful friends are there for her now.

To my amazing and heartfelt friends: thank you for always being there. Your support is heartfelt and means so much.

To all of the medical staff: There is much appreciation by the family for the comfort that has been given to Michele throughout this difficult ordeal. Michele has spoken so fondly of all of you, and there are no words to express our thanks for all that was done.

Aunt Michele, Words can't even express how greatly you are missed. You were a great mother, wife, aunt, god mother, sister, friend, just an extrodenary person. I know your not suffering anymore and that your in a beautiful place now. I always thought of you as a role model, you were never negative about anything, always had a positive attitude even when it was rock bottom. I truly admired you for that, and always will. May your soul rest in peace. I love You

To all the Machnica /Vertino family,
It was with deep sorrow and regret that I was unable to attend the services for my stepsister ,Michele.
Michele ,not only my sister but my friend was truly a unique ,special woman .I enjoyed many family times and our time alone. I will miss our "marathon" phone conversations and the laughs we shared over the silliest things. Her sense of humor and that straight face while cracking me up will stay locked in my heart forever.
The wonderful part of being a member of this family is the way Ma and Lou have made it easy for all of us to share so much together. They are the standard barrers of what a big family should be.To be able to tease Pam,joke with Michael and hear Michele laugh about our names always getting mixed up is so much fun! The kids have a beautiful quality of showing how much they care for all their cousins,as well.It was evident at Chas.III, funeral breakfast. They all stood up as a group and talked about themselves and Charlie.I am so proud of all of them.
Another light has gone out for us,again. As we struggle with that,I know that we are blessed and grateful to have each other to keep memories and hopes alive and burning bright.Michele would expect nothing less.
I love Michele and will miss her very much.

To My Extended Family,
My heart was deeply saddened when I read of Michele's passing. I sat in the light of the new day, cup of coffee in hand and reflected on the times I was honored to have shared with Michele as with the rest of you. Michele was truly a very incredible woman. I envisioned looking into her eyes and speaking with her, seeing the twinkle of the stars on a clear night, seeing her smile that would cast away the darkest of shadows. When Michele would enter a room her heart and soul would fill the room like the warmth of a hot summer day. Her strength was so strong it could never be broken. Memories overcame me of all the dinners we would share in Mom's downstairs kitchen. The wonderful food and company, finished off by coffee and the best conversation. The family gatherings during the holidays and sitting around the pool in the summer sharing our thoughts and having drinks. I will always remember Michele's voice and hearing in it her compassion for life. Her laughter would enlighten anyone's bad day.
Joe- You were truly lucky to have Michele as your wife. I know your marriage was filled with the most wonderful memories so many people could only wish they were able to share with such a remarkable woman. Hold on to that and never let it go.
Joelle- I remember when your mother gave birth to you and I saw her walk into your Grandma's house with you for the first time. She was so proud of you and that twinkle in her eyes was even filled with more sparkle. It was as if she looked into the night sky and one of those stars fell into her eyes and radiated the light which never left her. You were her pride and joy. Keep in your heart the things your mother taught you. Let her continue to walk along side of you and reflect all she stood for and your life will carry on down a path filled with so much laughter and love. Share her with others throughout your journey.
Pam and Michael- You got to share her time with her like no one else. Through all the good and bad times you three had, she was the one that held you together as brother and sisters. Continue to share stories of the times you shared with your children. Don't hold anything back from them. They can help to carry on Michele's legacy as well as your own, and Lord knows there will be much laughter for years to come.
Alice(MOM) and Mr. Vertino- I would like to say thank you for giving Michele life. Because of the two of you I have been honored to have encountered this incredible woman in my life and was able to share so many good times with her.
Many years have passed since we have had any kind of continuing contact, but please know that Michele as well as the rest of you have left an imprint on my heart that will last forever. Thank you all for not being selfish and sharing your family with me.
I LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH!
ANNIE
