My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. As each day passes I hope that your tears are dried and replaced, instead, with joyful memories. May God continue to heal your hearts. Please know you are embraced through prayer by many, near and far.

I always liked and admired Mr. pleasant. He was a person who tried to help others learn from his own experiences. And he had great courage. My sympathies and best thoughts and prayers to all the family.

To the Pleasant Family, I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Mr. Pleasant on several tobacco initiatives, which educated youth and adults about the harmful effects of tobacco use. He was a true champion and devoted servant to improving the health and quality of life of others. I pray that God give all of you courage, strength and understanding during this difficult time.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the entire Pleasant family. I had the great pleasure to work with Leonard as part of his volunteer work with the "New Voice Club." His work to educate young people about the hazards of cigarette smoking has saved lives. He was a real gentleman and will be missed. He may be gone, but not forgotten by those whose lives he touched.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Leonard Pleasant. During the time I served as coordinator for the Erie-Niagara Tobacco-Free Coalition, Mr. Pleasant was a tireless champion supporting a tobacco-free society, especially in his efforts to curb youth tobacco initiation. He was never too busy to speak to young people at schools throughout the WNY-region to graphically illustrate the dangers and ramifications associated with smoking. He was a fervent supporter of the NYS Clean Indoor Air Act, as well as the outspoken authority in eliminating all tobacco advertising and promotion that directly targeted young people. Mr. Pleasant will be missed by many of us who make it our business to save lives from tobacco use.

I WISH TO REGRET MY DEEPEST CONDOLANCES TO THE PLEASANT FAMILY. MY CONNECTION WITH SERGEANT PLEASANT WAS FOR TEN SHORT YEARS IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY RESERVES. HE WAS A MENTOR AND A PRIMARY EXAMPLE TO ALL WHO WORE THE UNIFORM OF WHAT PATRIOTISM MEANS. IF WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY HAS A PICTURE FOR THE WORDS "CLASS GENTLEMAN" IT WOULD BE LEONARD'S.

Leonard and I meet while serving with US Army Reserve, we traveled, worked and had many good times together, his humor and practical sense know - how, made days and weeks, go by, with peace and harmony.
He had leadership and the unique ability to make people do – what they did not want to do, and they would enjoy doing whatever - for him
On behalf of the Mostiller family, and the members of the USAR, Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Family members, I met young Leonard in the early 1940s , when he was just a young boy ,being taken to the Fergusons , on Vary Street by his Mother. There he would be cared for while his Mother
worked . In later years , I met Leonard on several visits to Buffalo and always enjoyed a good conversation with him. He shall be sorely missed. He was a fine young boy who grew to be a fine man.

Leonard was my friend, my parents friend, and our family's friend, and our memories will attest to that. He represented a moral compass for our neighborhood which accounts for the respect he held. We had a number of good laughs and serious conversations together over many years. His presence was significant and there will be an unmistakable void in this community. I am certain he left this world proud of his family and will bring a positive energy to the realm where he now resides.
