MORRELLA - Irene A. (nee Tomizzi) Of Lackawanna, entered into rest September 6, 2008, beloved wife of Louis A. Morrella; devoted mother of Irene A. (Roy) Bailey, Louis (Terri, Jane) Morrella, John (Lori) Morrella and Joseph (Marcie) Morrella; cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; loving daughter of the late John and Antoinette (nee Rossi) Tomizzi; dear sister of Joseph (Rosemary) Tomizzi, John (Petrina) Tomizzi and the late Jean (late Joseph) Marsillo and Mary (late John) Hendricks; also survived by relatives and many friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Tuesday from 2-7 PM where the funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 8:30 oclock and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at 9:30 oclock. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. Irene was a lifetime member of The Matthew Glab Post #1417.

To the Family,
Irene was a very dear friend. My mom, and I have gone to the glab post bingo for years and had gotten to know Irene very well. She was one of our bingo buddies and we always looked forward to seeing her! She was truly a wonderfrul women and a great cook. We will miss her delicious perogis. My family and I are so very sorry for your loss.We will keep you in our constant thoughts and prayers. Please know that we will miss her dearly.

Dear Louie, Renee, Lou, Johnny and Joey,
I will always remember Irene with the fondest memories of her smiling face,wonderfully candid outlook and how she so dearly loved her family. She and Mom would see each other for coffee and still remained the best of friends throughout the years. She spread so much joy. I was always amazed by how many people she knew. We will miss her very much. Our prayers are with you.
