Richard Baxter Obituary

BAXTER - Richard Alan Rick passed away on Monday July 28, 2008 of natural causes. He was the son of Robert J and Della Blair Baxter; brother of Barbara Ann Powell (Marshall), Bob Baxter (Ginny),Andy Baxter (Susan) Claudia Simon (Robert), Brian Baxter and Tom Ruble; 6 nieces and nephews. Richard Baxter was more than a Group Creative Director at Peter A. MayerAdvertising in New Orleans. He was part of the faimly, calling it his home away from home. Rick loved his job, his co-workers and his community. He led an energetic, compassionte, humorous and always shining life. The Baxter family, the Peter Mayer family, the Friendly family and the Allegany family will never forget his unwavering passion for life, for art and for New Orleans. Born in the town of Tonawanda in 1959, Rick attended Kenmore West Sr. High and was a graduate of the Fashion Institue of Technology, New York. There will be a Memorial Service at Kenmore United Methodist Church, Delaware and Landers Rd at 11:00 on September 13, 2008. Donations may be made in his name to the William J. Fanning Foundation, 2301 Chartres St, New Orleans, LA 70117
