Alan was my room mate freshman, sophomore, and junior year at ND. He was a great guy and had a great influence on me. I might not have made it through ND had I not had Alan as a role model. We lost touch after graduation, Alan going to law school and me with my USMC commitment. Then Alan was starting his law career and a family in New York and Florida while I was beginning a business career and starting a family in California. Guess those were busy times for both of us.

I feel bad now that we didn't stay in touch. I only learned of his passing today when I tried to find his contact information to congratulate him on ND Baseball's remarkable performance this past weekend. My late condolences to all in his family. I will keep Alan in my prayers.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Alan's recent passing. I worked for Alan at his French Rd. office, and always respected his high intelligence and professionalism. It was years ago, but I recall what a beautiful family you all were. My deepest sympathy, Yvonne, to you and all the Coopers.

Dear Cooper family,
I was shocked to hear of Alan's passing.
I had'nt seen Al for years since we played ball together in East Aurora. That was quite a while ago, the kids were all grade school age or younger at the time.
He was always a great guy and fun to be with.
I was hoping to get to see him again sometime. maybe I will.
Sincerest sympathy to you.

Dear Family--I had the opportunity to be a team mate of Alan's in the News Suburban Baseball League. While that was 50 years ago I will always remember what a class act Alan was. He had outstanding ability, but he never showed anyone up or tried to make himself the star he really was. It was my pleasure to have known him and my heart goes out to all of you. Have the strength to continue knowing a really great human being is a at peace with the Lord.

I worked for Alan as a paralegal when he was on French Road. Occassionally I would get an e-mail from him from Florida. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful man I thought he was and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I will always remember him fondly.
