Albert Colla Obituary

COLLA - Albert September 17, 2008. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Baumann) Colla; dearest father of Christy (John) Taylor of Waco, TX, and Wendy Colla; stepfather of Brett (Tina) and Eric Blanchard; son of Maria (nee Nascinguerra) and the late Guido Colla; brother of Maria (Thomas) Insalaco and Antonella (Jeffrey) Colla-McNinch; loving granfather of Samantha, Christopher, Johnathan, Timothy Taylor, Jordan, and Derek Blanchard. He is also survived by four nieces, two nephews and relatives in Italy. Mr. Colla was the President of Gondola Macaroni Products, a family owned business in Buffalo, NY. The family will be present on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the GRECO FUNERAL HOME, 2909 Elmwood Ave., where Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 8:45 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Anthony of Padua Church at 9:30 AM. Friends invited. Arrangements by Anthony Greco.

I remember his kindness when my husband Joe was blowing snow off the driveway on to the street an d a truck hit him he pulled the blower off to the side and left it and went to the Hospital. When Albert got home he saw what happened and came right over to help. A couple days later he took Joe to buy a new tractor. We were so blessed to have had him as our neighbor. He was always willing to help others. Rest in peace dear friend Kathy Moses

Sharon and family,
