I've been told that life is a gift.
Each of us has an opportunity to achieve, experience and share greatness during our lifetime. I am a better person for having Bill in my life. It was clearly evident by the wonderful gathering of friends and family that Bill indeed had made the most of his time with us and his greatest achievement was how he had shared himself among so many many people. That was the key, he was giving, as it is the smallest things we do for each other that really means the most. I am grateful that Bill found my mother and was able to have love, companionship and a home to share together. I have enjoyed countless happy memories with him. One of my favorite memories was at Christmastime when I would hand him a basket of his favorite cookies. He would always growl and say "What are all these for?" But his eyes would have a happy sparkle in them and it never took long for the cookies to disappear! Mom, I know your heart is broken and your "home" feels like an empty house. Bill's love lives on in your heart and in your friends and family. We will continue to achieve, experience and share. Because Bill showed us how it is done.

To all those who sent their thoughts and prayers to my Dad. My family and I would like to thank you. Thank you for the flowers and the time you took from your lives to be with us at this difficult time. To all those who have crossed one of my Dad's paths, I know he touched you in a special way...He touched us all. When we are with him again, I'm sure he will have great new stories and advice along with that great smile. God Bless you all!

Dear Louie & David,

Your dad was a great guy. I am saddened by your loss. He made all our childhood's fun. His personality was infectious.

We were separated by so many miles over the years that we have not seen much of each other. But know that our prayers and love are with you.

Your Cousin,
Jack

Death is but the passageway
Into eternity,
The road that leads us homeward,
To join our family.

It's really just a step away,
A tiny space in time,
That everyone must pass through
To find a joy sublime.

So do not fear the passageway,
But put your trust in Him,
Who will be there with open arms
When here your eyes grow dim.

I miss you and will see you again!
