I am so sorry to hear of Professor Arnold's untimely passing. He was a wonderful instructor, able to make a complex subject understandable and interesting, truly caring about his students. Last fall, my car battery died just as I was heading to campus for one of his exams. I got there an hour late, terrified, but he completely understood - told me to relax, ignore the clock and take as much time as I needed. Little kindnesses like that...they are what make an outstanding professor, just as much as intelligence and knowledge.

I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

Dear Jann, Greg, and Chris,

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Ken as a great friend and person. I have wonderful memories of camping and backpacking with Ken, in particular a trip we made up thru Canada to Manitoulin Island (back around 1983, I think.) The last time I saw Ken was at your wedding - and our lives went on, and we lost touch. I have you in my thoughts.

I have many wonderful (and sometimes painful) memories of camping and backpacking with him, though it seems so long ago now. I am very sorry for your loss and have you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Jann and family,
I pray for God's grace and peace to be with each of you. I am so thank-ful that I had the privilege of know-ing Ken beginning with my years in Akron. The words from the obituary reinforce in a powerful way what a fine, gifted person Ken was. He exemplified humbleness. I am very sorry his earthly life has concluded. As you walk into the tomorrows of your lives, may you be assured that God walks with you.

Dear Jann and boys,

I have known Ken for 30 years, starting at RIT in the EE program. I have also worked with Ken at Eastman Kodak and we have worked together for the last several years. Ken surprised me last year by bringing in some pictures of our college graduation. They were the only pictures I had ever seen since I did not have any. I count him as a friend and colleague for over 30 years and I will miss him. God Bless.

Jann, Chris, Greg, and Family,

We may never know why the good Lord needed to call Ken back to be with him. Especially when you think of all the good that Ken has and would have given to all of us. Nor will we know what God's plan is for each of us. But I take comfort in knowing that the amount of Good (Love ,Joy, Friendship, Caring) that will result from God's plan for Ken is unimaginable to us.
