To the Bauman Family: Gene was my neighbor at his cottage in Orangeville. We were saddened with the news of his passing away. He was extremely friendly; always waved when mowing the lawn or burning his leaves. He and Todd enjoyed a cup of coffee and piece of pie with us. Our sympathies to the Bauman family.
Gene - We'll miss your special lunches...I'm sure you'll be entertaining up there!

Gene, I truly miss you! I have a lot of fond memories, especially "Switch Day" years ago....when I got to be one of the boys in your mailroom. You even gave me your office blue jacket...but you wouldn't let me drive the company van. Miss you!

To Will and Heidi, and the rest of Gene's family,
It has been 30 years since I last saw Gene and have always respected him and thought highly of him. He was my first boss at A & P and then a friend. Now I am a boss and use his principals all the time. Too bad I waited until now to realize how much he would have laughed at this! But he did predict it, often! He gave me my first Jack Daniels and am forever in his debt. Thanks for the memories, Gene.

Gene - I always said you couldn't leave (retire) without me. Now you have gone and left me. God took you way too soon, but HE can't take the memories. This is one void in my heart that can't be filled--I love you amd miss you deeply. I'm still going to talk to you--so keep the line open! My deepest sympathy to your entire family--they are a great group of people. Thank you all--especially Wil for taking care of our dear friend. Gene was so glad you were here for him.

I enjoyed working with Gene at Sodexo for nearly nine years. I will always remember him as being proud of the team he led. Whenever I introduced a colleague to him, a Print Shop "tour" was sure to follow. With a warm smile, he always offered to lend a helping hand.
