Dear Diane:
I am saddened to learn of Dr. Ken's passing. Although I've not seen him for a good many years, the memories of our friendship in boy scouts remain with me. He will be remembered in my thoughts and prayers. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I am submitting this on behalf of my father, Joseph T. Aquilina, MD.:
"I was saddened to read of the passing of Dr. Kenneth Klementowski. He was a former student in my 'Physical Diagnosis' class at the SUNY Buffalo Medical School and I remember him as one of the brightest students. As a practitioner he was dedicated to his patients and so well organized. My wife Ruth, a former patient of his, would have lost her sight if not for Dr. Klementowski's expert care."
He treated other members of my family as well and we all felt a sense of loss when he retired from his practice. He will be missed.

Thinking of Kenny brings back so many memories. The times we spent together as two families shared a trip to Maine, Niagara Falls or just a Sunday afternoon. Years past and we grew apart only to become friends again iwith Ken after we all moved to Florida. Ken's thoughts and prayers have helped me so much recently. Cindy, Marc, Craig and Brian are in the thoughts and prayers of the Dennis Camp family.

The enthusiasm of Dr. Klementowski and Dr. Mruczek for the "Eyes on Rzeszow" project was contaigious! It was a real high point for everyone involved in the Buffalo-Rzeszow Sister-City organization. Those of us who remained in Buffalo never tired of hearing about the visit to Rzeszow. Even though Dr.'s life included Florida, he always supported our activites and attended events when he was in Buffalo. I, along with many others, have fond memories that will stay with me. My condolences to the family.

Dear Craig adn Brian,
I never met your dad at Huth Road, but I do remember running into the three of you together as you were working on badges for Boy Scouts. It was in A.M. and A.'s. Then he became my doctor, and I felt so privileged to be a patient of such a well-respected doctor.
Right now, I'm picturing you the ages you were when you were in my classroom, Craig in fourth grade, and Brian in third grade. You were both so tall for your ages.
I know you will miss your dad, and I send you my sympathy and prayers,

Deep sympathy to the entire Klementowski family.
Dr. Ken & Dr. Arthur gave of their time & resources to Buffalo's sister city of Rzeszow in Poland and made a historic first in that city: a first lens implantation procedure as well as other advanced treatments that were shared with the Polish ophthalmologists.
In June of 1994 Dr. Klementowski & Dr. Mruczek conducted a charitable ophthalmologic "Eyes on Rzeszow" project to donate services and equipment valued in excess of $250,000 to patients and the medical community in Rzeszow.
Ken's and his close friend Doc's selfless giving was a testament to the American spirit of giving and strengthened friendship between Buffalo & Rzeszow.

To Ken's Children,
I will always remember your father for his ability to teach me to water ski when I was very young. Anybody who could accomplish that definitely had the patience of a saint! You're all in my thoughts and prayers.

to the Klementowski family,
I have known Ken for asbout 40 years, although you may never have heard of me.
I wasn ophthlamolgist in Buffalo, NY, retiring June 1992. Ken retired many years before me for health reasons. We kept in touch, and for the past few years have been Email buddies, comparing jokes, clean and dirty, political stuff, He was great for sending historical photos of Bflo and Crystal Beqch of years gone by.
Despite not having seen Ken in person for many years I will miss him.
Requiescat in pace.
