Phyllis A. Brzezinski

BRZEZINSKI - Phyllis A. (nee Mavis ) Age 86 of the Town of Wheatfield, was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, October 19, 2008 while at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on April 16, 1922 to the late Christian and Isabel (Calkins) Mavis. Phyllis was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School, member of St. John deLaSalle R.C. Church in Niagara Falls, and the Wheatfield Democratic Club. She was united in marriage to the late Stanley A. Brzezinski on October 28, 1944. He entered into rest January 23, 2000. Phyllis and her husband were co-owners of a beer distributor in the area, owned and operated Lynch Park Mobile Home Court in Wheatfield for forty years and was on the board with Calamar. She was active in the political world and supported her husbands years as the Supervisor of the Town of Wheatfield, and many other official positions throughout Niagara County and various organizations. Survivors include her loving daughter, Gay (Richard) Molnar; two beloved grandchildren, Kenneth (Donna) Franasiak and Dawn Gilliam; two beloved great-grandchildren, Adam and Ian Franasiak all from the Town of Wheatfield; and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was the sister of Reuel Mavis (deceased); sister-in-law of Renee Mavis, Katie Brzezinski, Jennie Smith, Vivian Newman (deceased), Esther Brzezinski, Anthony Brzezinski, Clarence (Boots) and Frank Brzezinski. She was loved and respected by so many, especially her dedicated care givers, Pat, Dalona, Carol and others, and she was a dear friend of Robert Zankowski. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. A private interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery will take place with the family. Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at St. John deLaSalle R.C. Church, 8627 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls on Saturday, October 25 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stanley and Phyllis Brzezinski Memorial Fund, Niagara Area Foundation, 712 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14202.
