David Merkel Obituary

MERKEL - David C. October 25, 2008, beloved husband of Marsha (nee Hobbs), the late Elizabeth (nee Ruff) and the late Donna (nee Schwab); father of Charles (Renee), Mary (Randall) Szczesniak, Joanne (Jack) Kilianski, Andrew (Patricia) Merkel and the late Christopher D. Merkel; brother of Thomas (Cindy) Merkel and Nancy Coreless; grampa of Christoher C., Kimberly, David and Kyle. Friends received on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 784 Main St., East Aurora. Graveside Services at Strykersville Cemetery on Tuesday at 11:15 AM. Please assemble at cemetery. Dave was retired from NYSEG, a past member of The Strykersville Fire & Rescue, a longtime member of American and International Association of Model Ts, The Florida Flywheelers and The WNY Gas & Steam Association.
