Over the thirty years I knew Red, we shared many a meal, drink and laugh. Whether cutting the holiday ham on a radial arm saw, building a deck, remodeling my family room or playing a round of golf, he was always good company and a good friend. We'll miss you.

Uncle Red,

I have many memories of you and the hundreds of trips to Buffalo. You were a wonderful Godfather and will not be forgotten. Rest peacefully.

Love,
Kathleen

Dear Red,
Just wanted to leave a note to say how much you were dearly loved and that you'll be in our hearts forever.

I will never forget how you quizzed me on the spelling of "Albuquerque" when my new girlfriend brought me home to Buffalo to meet her family. I'm glad I got the spelling right, since she is now my wife, and the mother of my three beautiful daughters!

You raised a wonderful family, indeed. May God bless you and your loved ones. We will miss you.

Dad,
That one word sums up how I will always feel about you. I can still hear you saying "Hey Guy" to Drew. Why is it that things like that stick in our minds? Do you remeber teaching me the meaning of the word perverse? Your vocabulary, your laughter and most of all your love are what I will remember.
Love always.

It is hard to sum up 26 years in a paragraph, Dad would have written a song. I would say that my memories of him will revolve around his patience, sense of humor, and ability to look at everything from
another perspective. From teaching me to ride a bike, to use a computer (or more importantly spell check), to drive, to play golf, to quit playing golf, to driving me out to college, he was always supportive of his children, of our extended family, and our endevours and for that I will be forever thankful.

Aunt Carol,
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Red. I hope that he is in a better place and the way I remember him. I have such wonderful memories of Buffalo with you and Uncle Red in them, him playing the piano and singing and I will never forget those wonderful memories. Please send my love to Andrew, Becky and Debbie. I love you all and am thinking about you.
Love,
Megan Auer

Carol, I am so sorry I was not in Buffalo for Red's service. I just found out moments ago and am glad I was able to get ahold of you today. I think of Binghampton when I first met Red. A strong and gregarious guy with IBM. The times I played golf with him and he would kick my sarcastic butt. I know he is in a better place and the last ten years have been diificult, but he was one of the best. Now he is up in heaven with Uncle George, Aunt Marion and Uncle Bud. I'll bet they were glad to see Red! All my best to you and the family from all of us Lisa, Megan, Allison, Lindsey and Aunt Eleanor.
Love and hugs....cousin David.

The bears in the woods are lonely tonight
Their singer of songs is gone from their sight
The caravans of Timbuktu
Have also lost him from their view
But somewhere on a heavenly links
A big smiling guy is working out kinks
Stroking each shot with joy and elation
Dropping long putts in pure celebration
Free once again from his burdens and cares
And humming a tune about parties and bears.

Thanks, Red, for a great friendship and many memories
Of family visits, golfing together and experimenting
With amazing new ways to slice a ham,
As only true brothers-in-law ever can.

A great uncle and an even better friend, the memories of times we spent together as I was growing up are still vivid. I can remember him teaching me to throw a football in the back yard of our beach house in Canada and absolutely crushing me in every game of bad mitten I ever challenged him to. He was a great man.

I have thought of you often and our
days at Ellensburg High. It was such a pleasure knowing you and
playing football with you as the
quarterback leading us to victory.
You will be missed by a lot of
classmates andfriends.
