Robert Pritchard Obituary

PRITCHARD-Robert I. Vero Beach, FL, 69, a longtime Western New York labor leader, Business Representative and Recording/Corresponding Secretary for Local 17, International Union of Operating Engineers died Sept 13, 2007 in Little Rock AR. after a lengthy illness. Bob was a member of the Union for 52 years and held positions as Vice-President Batavia Building Trades, Delegate Buffalo Building Trades, Delegate Southwest Building Trades and Political Action Committee member. Bob was a member of the West Seneca American Legion Post 735, Bison City Yacht Club and Buffalo Knights of Columbus. Bob was an avid car enthusiast, loved Boating, Racing, racquet ball, socializing and working around his home. Bob was a large presence in the lives of many and will be sorely missed by family and friends. Survivors include his wife, the former Carol Hoey, son Thomas Pritchard of Houston TX, son Michael Pritchard of Boston NY, daughter Maureen Duggan of Blasdell, and ten Grandchildren. Brothers Donald (Jane) Pritchard of Sebastian FL. and Gary (Karen) Pritchard of Cheektowaga. Son John Pritchard predeceased him. Services at St. Peter and Paul Church, 10:00 AM Sept 28, 2007, 36 Pine Street, Hamburg NY. Reception to follow at IOUE Union Hall, 2342 Pleasant Avenue, Hamburg. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation.
