Billy and Family. I was searching the web and ran across this obit that your Dad had passed away. It has been a long time since his passing and even longer since I have seen you. Sorry to be so late with this since I’m sure you and the family still miss him dearly. Please get back to me via email so we can talk and get together.

Uncle Bill was a very kind, loving and genuine gentleman. I've been blessed by growing up with such strong family values and his invaluable influence.
It seems like yesterday when he would sit at our kitchen table with Uncle Bud, Mom and Gram, chatting and making potato salad and apple pies.
I still can't get through Thanksgiving without remembering the gang in our basement, eating Harriet Plarr's Cranberry Conserve, on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and deer hunting season. (Now I'd love to be back at the kids table.)
So many more wonderful memories were made with him and Aunt Mary, Lynne and Billy Boy at Lime Lake. He was loved and admired by everyone.
Uncle Bill will be sadly missed by us, and eagerly embraced in heaven.

My Uncle Billy was one of the best human beings I have ever known.. I have so much respect and admiration for him. He was in the Navy during WW2 and later volunteered at the naval park. He was a life long member actively involved in our Blasdell Presbyterian Church, an elder, and always there to greet you with a piece of candy and a "smooch". He was a Blasdell volunteer fireman, always had the scanner on, and whenever there was a call, if he wasn't on the truck, he was directing traffic. In his spare time, he was a part time member of the Blasdell police force. Like his grandfather and mother, his career was in the newspaper business and he retired as a printer for the Buffalo Evening News and the Courier Express. He always appeared calm, never seemed to hurry, but was always involved with everthing and everyone, a highly respected citizen, and always there for any one who needed him or a helping hand. He was like another father to me- I will always be grateful for the love he had for his family, friends, community, country and the standard he set for us all. Patti Jewart Buscaglia

Dear Ma, Lynne, Bill and all the family,
I will always cherish the many fond memories of my visits to the Plarr house. Sitting up late nights and talking over teacups will forever warm my heart. Having Pa and Ma in my life has been a blessing. Will never forget first meeting them in Plattsburgh, or when Pa came to rescue me for Lynne's wedding after the bus broke down and all the many other good visits. Pa always looked out for others and now it is time for him to rest and let God take care of him.
Much love, Gayle

Dear Mary, Lynne, Bill and Family,
Since first meeting Bill, I knew him to be a wonderful individual, so full of life. He was a devoted husband and father; and one always giving to his community. I know the loss of "Pa" will be felt deeply by you and the many friends around you. Take strength from your love of him; and from those who care so much. My heart felt sympathy to you and the entire family.
Love always,

Remembering Bill’s
Snow White Goatee

I didn’t know Bill Sr. as well as some
but an impression he made on me.
Most Sundays when I would walk into church,
a smiling Bill Sr. I would see.

With his hand stretched out
And a large grin on his face
He had a special way of saying,
“good seeing you, welcome friend to God’s place.

Whenever I asked, ”How are you doing?”
The same answer he would give,
“not bad for an old guy,
making the best each day God blesses me to live!”

Well, now that Bill’s work on earth is done
and in heaven his new home is he,
I can’t wait until I meet him there
and see that smile again with Bill Sr.’s snow white goatee…

Mary and family,

I have not seen Bill in many years and he will be truly missed. I remember Bill as a person I really enjoyed having conversations with at the coffee shop as I visited Blasdell on saturday mornings. He was truly someone I always enjoyed seeing! He surely will me missed and may he rest in peace.
