It is a privilege to honor the memory of my beloved Aunt Tess. This is a poem I wrote for her years ago.
THERESA
She's my Aunt Tess.
Not only an aunt but a good friend to me when I was only three.
She made me laugh instead of cry when my tonsils were taken out
She even taught me games.
And when she was through I knew what Poker was all about.
Later, we lived far apart and that made me sad
But when we could visit I would be so glad.
We had so much fun together
When she was gone I would write her a letter.
And she always wrote to me, such a loving Aunt.
She signed her letters "143"
I love you too Aunt Tess
It shouldn't be hard to guess....I always have and I always will.
Your loving niece,
Shirley

In memory of Aunt Tess, I was so sorry I was not able to see you off at your very beautiful mass. I will cherish all of the times we spent together and all of your stories you shared with Mark and me. The times we visited while you were here mean't so much to me. I will never forget our very first meeting to all our visits. The very special time I dressed up in all of your beautiful ornate jewely, hats and clothes and we laughed for hours.I enjoyed the last couple of years visiting with Uncle Phil and yourself on Maple st., especially the last 2 weeks before Uncle Phil died when we spent everyday with you. I saw the great love and tenderness between Uncle Phil and yourself. You had such a zest for life and for living it to the very fullest. I feel grateful to have known you. God has called you home to be with your beloved husband and all those whom you loved that have gone before you. Reat in peace. God truely blessed you with a great 107 yrs. Love,

Dearest Great Aunt Tess, You once told me that life was a Stage...so give them something to remember! After all the cherished good times, many years of correspondences, phone calls and "secrets" that we have shared, I must tell you that you were the Bell of the Ball. I want you to know that I fulfilled my promise to you, and you know what Im talking about...I was honored to be the last person on earth to see you as you were wrapped in your burial shroud and placed in your vault with the seal set for eternity. You looked like a Princess. Rest in peace my Sweet, that your send off from this realm was a real class act...just like you. Oh yeah! and "143" Your Loving and eternally Greatful Great Nephew Nicky.

I remember your 104th birthday party at cousin Cathy's and how honored we all were to see you singing and dancing. You said that a shot of whiskey each day was the secret of longevity. We hope that you have eternal happiness with God in your next life. On behalf of the Pizzolanti family. We love you.....

Dearest Aunt Tess & Family,
107 years of wonderous life. I find it hard to shed tears.
I truly know that you are with GOD! The joyous gift that GOD
Has promised us. Everlasting life. I know that you are enjoying the
Table of our lord. Our many talks. Many whiskey sours. The many laughs. Many tears when Uncle Phil passed last February. Now you can be together
Forever. GOD’S gift to you were Kim, Wayne & Cody. I know that you were
In good hands with them. You will always be remembered in our thoughts and prayers. Forever. You will always be our family icon.
Now that your time on earth has passed. Enjoy Heaven.
Sincerely Mark & Veronica Marinaccio & Family

My special memory of Aunt Tess was her 100th birthday party when she grabbed the microphone and started singing one of her old bar room songs. How we all laughed and were amazed by her. We haved lost some special people in our families this year. We can only hope that they are all together and Aunt Tess is singing one of her songs. You are now at peace with those you love.
