Anthony P. Siedlecki

SIEDLECKI-Anthony P. June 13, 1912-September 10, 2007. Anthony Paul Siedlecki, a resident of Ocala, Florida and formerly of North Tonawanda, NY, died Monday, September 10th at the Oakhurst Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ocala at the age of 95. A former vaudevillian, dance-band drummer, and fiddler, he will be remembered as the affable proprietor of the former Litwin's Grill, where he helped to sponsor numerous bowling and softball teams. Mr. Siedlecki was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a founding member of the Buddy Golf Club and a member of the planning committee for the establishment of Deerwood Golf Course. He belonged to the Third Warder's Social Club and its Last Man's Club. Mr. Siedlecki was employed by the Rudolph Wurlitzer Company until his retirement in the mid 1970's and was an active member and former shop steward of Local 350 IUE, AFL-CIO. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a parishioner at Our Lady of Czestochowa, where he served in the O.L.C. Holy Name Society, the church choir, and the home-school association before moving to Ocala. In Ocala, he joined Our Lady of the Springs Parish. He was involved in the Spanish Oaks Drama Organization and, at Christmas time, continued to delight people as the fiddle-playing Santa Claus. He also traveled extensively to such places as Mexico, Poland, Hawaii, and the Bahamas. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Adeline Jones (nee Suchorabowski); three children, Peter Siedlecki (Lynette Mende), Judith McMurray (the late Gerald McMurray), and Kathleen Sutter (Charles Sutter); fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Siedlecki was married to the former Mary Litwin for 39 years until her death in 1976. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 64 Center Ave at Oliver St. in North Tonawanda, NY on Saturday, October 20th, at 9:30 AM.
