The Ambroses are deeply sorry for your loss. Although we did not know your family as well as I would like to have, Katherine was very special to us. My dad, Victor always talked about her with great love and affection. She and I shared the same birthday! We are with you in spirit.

So sorry to hear the news of Kay's passing.I hold warm memories of the significant times we shared. The beautiful pre wedding shower she and Helen hosted for my daughter Kris was one such event.I especially recall her asking Norm to lock all the doors so the guests would be able to view ALL of Helen's news clips! She was a warm, witty and loving woman. No one was quicker to laugh, more eager to give a hug and more supportive than Kay. She loved her daughter Helen more than life itself. She could spend hours talking about the things they did together. Her favorite story is when Helen was asked to draw a picture of her family, when she was only four. As Kay told it, (laughing the whole time) Helen drew a little man with a mustache, a tiny woman with a dress, and then a great big picture of a girl, twice the size of the other two, and wrote ME. Kay would always say with a smile, "my daugher always had self esteem." And it is true, she raised a kind, confident and loving daughter, with a wicked sense of humor. Kay loved to laugh, loved to beat her beloved husband Norm at Jeopardy, and loved to talk. There were only 50 people at my wedding weekend, most of them strangers to Kay when she arrived on Sanibel Island. By the time she went home two days later, she had spent time with each one of them, in some cases, getting to know personal details, that even I didn't know. Kay had a way of drawing people out, she really listened, and people opened up to her. She never thought about herself, but was always giving to others.
She was a teacher, wife, friend, grandmother, and most of all mother to Helen. She got such joy in everything about her daughter. I feel proud to have known Kay Tederous. I will miss her greatly.
To Norm, Helen and Jack.. I am so sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy to you Helen and your family. I know it is a time of terrible shock and you need all your friends and family around you.
Know that we are thinking of you and your wonderful mom! She was such a nice person...we had quite the chat at the baby shower (way back when!).
Again my love to you all.
