I worked with Mike for many years at Child & Family Services. He was a good guy. He always made us laugh. Mike and I had many personal talks about family and kids. He loved his children so much. I will never forget how happy he was when he brought his daughter here to meet us for the first time or when he would tell me the funny things that Ben did.
You are all in my prayers and hopefully with time you can find peace that I am sure Mike has found.
God Bless You All

My Uncle was, and will always be remembered as a wonderful person. Though I had the most time with him out of the nieces and nephews, (22 years), it all seems like seconds now. This is such a difficult time for all of us, but I take comfort in knowing I got to see him just a few short weeks ago, even under the worst of circumstances. I’ll never forget the childhood I had, spending time in Buffalo… walking with him to get ice cream in the summer… going to midnight mass with him on Christmas… fun activities in Grandma & Grandpa’s backyard… and all the other fun things he did for and with us. He could always make me laugh and was always so appreciative of the time he spent with his family. He was a wonderful father to his children and such a compassionate person. We all love and miss him dearly.

I worked closely with Mike and another coworker as a team for seven years. During those years we became really close. We shared so many laughs and Mike was the best boss I ever had. When I recently saw him at his Dad's wake I told him there wasn't a week that went by that I didn't think of him or miss him. I met Ben and Gennie early on and watched them grow, as hard as it is now to understand I know for certain Mike loved them more than words can express. I loved Mike and will never forget him. I am praying for everyone who knew and loved Mike that we'll find comfort and peace over this tragedy. Please know you are in my prayers!

Kemnitzer Family,
How can I express my sympathy to you at this time of such loss. I worked with Mike at Horizon and knew him personally as well. When I was informed of his death yesterday the first thing I said was, "I loved Mike." He will always be remembered fondly in my thoughts.

I was shocked to hear of Mike's death. I'll always remember Mike as a fine runner and a great assistant coach. I also just found out that Mr. Kemnitzer recently passed. I remember him as a fine man and a proud parent. My condolences to Mrs. Kemnitzer, John, and Mary Ellen in this most difficult of times.

IN LOVING MEMORY
EVEN THOUGH I’D ONLY KNOWN MICHAEL FOR SUCH A SHORT TIME I FELT BLESSED TO CALL HIM MY FRIEND. HE CAME INTO MY LIFE AT SUCH A LOW TIME FOR BOTH OF US. HE HELPED ME TO LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH, AND SMILE AGAIN. MY CHILDERN WERE VERY FOND OF MICHAEL AS THEY SAW HOW HE LIFTED MY SPIRITS. HE WAS A KIND, CARING, AND COMASSIONATE MAN WHO WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP ANYONE.
HIS CHILDREN BENJAMIN AND GENEVIEVE WERE HIS WORLD. EACH MONDAY AFTER A WEEKEND VISIT WITH THEM HE WOULD START HIS LISTS FOR THE NEXT VISIT, THE FOOD HE NEEDED AND WHAT SHOULD THEY DO. HE ALWAYS WORRIED THAT THEY WOULD BE BOARD, HE DIDN’T WANT IT TO BE A ROUTINE, AND HE WANTED IT TO BE AN ADVENTURE FOR THEM. I ALWAYS TOLD HIM “DON’T WORRY ABOUT ENTERTAINING THEM… SIT BACK AND LET THEM ENTERTAIN YOU”.
ANYONE WHO KNEW MICHAEL WOULD ALWAYS SAY “THERE ISN’T A THING THAT HE WOULDN’T DO FOR YOU”.
