If anybody earned their wings, it was my Uncle Stanley. He was still offering me quarters, like he did when I was 5, when I was in my twenties and pregnant with my first daughter. I remember swimming in Aunt Florence and Uncle Phil's pool with Uncle Stanley... there was no age boundary... just an uncle and a niece splashing around, having fun. He deserved more in this life than he had, but I know he's reaping rich rewards in a better place than those of us who remain behind him.
