Dear Rose and Family, please accept my condolences. I found out about Phil's passing last night when I returned home from work. As you and so many others know, Phil was one of a kind. There are so many of us who share with you the loss of your love, Phil.
Phil was an incredible friend, brother & Marine, someone to count on in all circumstances...a real man of integrity.
I personally was blessed by & will always treasure Phil's friendship, kindness, generosity and sense of humor. Most of all, Phil had a gift for making friends, bringing people together and appreciating whatever is noble and loving in another.
We were all blessed to have known Phil and to have been touched by his friendship.

I am still in a state of numbness and hurt to the bone after i received word
that Phil passed. Phil was a very dear friend,not only to me but countless others.I first meet Phil in 1967 at the Marine Corps Combat Base,Khe Sanh Viet Nam.When I left Viet Nam in Dec.1967 I never saw Phil again until Oct. 2000.We had a lot to catch up on. Phil always called me his Hero and great friend. It was an honor to have such a great friend as Phil,and his passing has
left a big empty space in my heart. I will always remember you Phil as my best
and closest friend.
