My love,
You've been gone one month, but it seems like an eternity. I miss you so very much. You were so much a part of me that it's hard to function without you. I know you have found the peace that you deserve, but I wish you were still here. You have my heart FOREVER.

Basil,
You were truly one of a kind. You will be missed. When I think of you I will always smile remembering all the stories and jokes you told over and over again. It didn't matter how many times you told a story or joke it always seemed more interesting everytime you told it. You always wore your heart on your sleeve and it showed everytime you looked a my mom. Thank you for truly loving my mom the way she deserved. You will never be forgotten.
xoxoxo,

Hey Gramp, remember when you told me to move the baby gate so Alissa wouldn't trip over it and sure enough hours later you tripped and landed on the floor- even when you were in pain you still managed to make it a comical situation. I still don't know how I got you up off that floor when we were both laughing so hard!! I LOVE YOU! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO Krista

Dear Dad,
I miss you and am broken hearted right now...so can you do me a favor? When you see that I am struggling with this can you throw me a memory that will make me laugh like you always used to? We always laughed until we cried so I am certain they will help me get through this. Please keep my thoughts light with stories of remember when.... Oh and speaking of laughing, It reminds me that humor was what you were ALL about and how your humorous stories impacted everyone that knew you. Dad that makes me smile and that's what I'm all about. Well, that's all I ask right now but I'm sure I'll have a few more favors through out the years. Thanks for the memories, keep in touch Funky White Boy.
Love,
Linda

To my darling Basil. What do I do? After 11 years together I'm lost without you. You were everything to me, my best friend, confidant, strength, my love and my heart. My knight in shining armor. I went to you for everything, we cried and laughed together. And with your arms around me I felt safe from everything. You were so sentimental, I'll miss the way your eyes twinkled whenever you saw me. I saw love when I looked at you. I know your dream was for us to go to Italy. If it's ever possible, I will go for you and visit all the places we dreamed about. Although my heart has broken into a million pieces and I miss being with you so very much, I know where you are. You are free from pain and at peace. Thank you for engulfing me with your love. You were my life as much as I was yours. I will love and miss you for the rest of my life. MUCHO GRANDE MY LOVE, FOREVER, ROSEMARY

Uncle Basil,
Sadly, gone are the times when someone would upset me and I would calmly look at them and say "Keep it up and I'll just call my Uncle Biagio". Little did they know that you were the biggest teddy bear that ever walked this earth. (but it shut them up nonetheless)
Never gone are the wonderful and colorfull memories that I carry in my heart and mind that will be shared throughout the years. Your spirit will always be with us as we recall our childhood and laugh so hard we cry (as we always do)...
Love you Uncle "B" - you will be sorely missed.

Sorry to hear the passing away of Basil "Mr.Palestine" I knew Basil thru the Bichler's and My impression of Basil was that He was a strong and fair Man for what was right. It was a pleasure the several time's I shared time with Basil, from the time when I was with Mrs.Connie Bichler & My Mom at the Italian Festival in North Buffalo to the time when I seen Basil and told Him I told My Mom that He had lost weight and looked good which brought a great smile to Basil's Face.............May Biagio "Basil" Palestine rest in Heaven with THE Lord Jesus Christ
