Rebecca Sleight Obituary

SLEIGHT-Rebecca Lee Of Buffalo, lost her courageous struggle with cancer on October 30, 2007 at Hospice Buffalo, surrounded by her family. She was born in Medina, NY on March 19, 1964. Rebecca was the beloved daughter of Donald T. and Lucia (nee Leone) Sleight; she is survived by her sister Lisa Beth (Marc) Hennig, her brother David James (Alexis) Sleight, her nieces and nephews, Fiona A.L. Hennig, Audrey R.M. Hennig, Dylan J. Sleight and Jakob N. Sleight, her collie "Scout' and a close circle of friends and relatives who loved her dearly and were loved dearly by her. Rebecca was a talented chef, accomplished student and at the time of her diagnosis, a senior honors student at Buffalo State College pursuing a degree in secondary English education. The family will be present on Thursday from 6-9 PM at (Delaware Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1132 Delaware Ave. (near W. Ferry St.), Buffalo. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 7 PM from St. Joseph University Church, 3269 Main St., Buffalo. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. or the Ovarian Cancer Institute, Georgia Institute of Technology, 225 North Ave., 4th Floor, Atlanta, GA 30332-0365.
