Marilyn, We have many fond memories of Doug. He was very helpful to me when I started teaching at Central School many years ago. We enjoyed our times with both of you.

Sorry for your loss. Doug was a good man and we will all miss him. I was out of town last week until Friday evening. Sorry that I was unable to attend the services.

We were so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. We will always remember his infectious love of laughter and humor when he visited his cousin Idamae in Marquette. Marilyn, you and Doug are in my prayers. I wish I had something comforting to say to help you through his difficult time. I remember reading once that a school teacher is a like a parent to his students because the impact on their lives is so great. This must be true because Doug has had many many students in his life, both in and out of the classroom. In this regard he has had many children who learned from him.
