Eleanor had a great sense of serenity, and could look calmly and unblinkingly at things that would scare me to death. She had a great sense of the truth, and could cut through nonsense at top speed. And, yes, a great sense of humor -- wry and sharp as a martini enjoyed on a beach at sunset. I will miss her.

At our wedding, Eleanor predicted we would have a happy marriage because we shared a sense of humor. We still make each other laugh, and she is right. It gets us over the bumpy parts. Thank you, Eleanor

Grandma led an amazing life and I feel so lucky our family and families were lucky enough to be brought together by her. She meant so much to so many I have a smile just thinking about her.
