Judith Smardz Obituary

SMARDZ-Judith Ruth (Fulater) Age 66, of Naples, FL, and previously of Lancaster, NY, died November 20, 2007, after a short and bravely fought illness. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her devoted husband of 48 years, Stanley; sons Douglas (Barbara) and Jeffrey (Kathleen); daughters Nancy (William) Canfield and Deanna (Vince) Barbaro; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings and a daughter, Kendra. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Avow Hospice. "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: Wow...what a ride!"

Mr. Smardz, Nancy, Doug, Jeff and DeeDee. I was shocked to read that Mrs. Smardz - your mom - had passed away. What wonderful memories I have of growing up and being her adopted daughter. She always treated me like one of her own. She was a great person and will truly be missed.
