Dear Milton, our friendship was short, only a few years, but I was so honored to have met you. My visits home just won't be the same. Thank you for your devoted friendship with my mom, and we are grateful for the all fun and interesting times that we did get to enjoy with you. Peace to Milton, friends and family.

I just learned yesterday of Milton's passing. He was a mentor to me in more ways than he knew. We didn't meet until his career at UVM was finished but he continues to influence me to this day.
I so much enjoyed his Virginia accent and hearing his stories of his past.

Sunshine and brightness can be rare in Vermont but never with Milton. We will miss those moments.

Milton, I haven't seen you in 31 years but you've often been in my thoughts and heart. I will always value your mentoring during my years at the UVM Library.

I'm saddened that Milton has left us but wish him rest and peace. I'll miss his "bread and butter" calls and seeing him here and there on campus. Jean and I enjoyed talking with Milton about antiques and gardening. We extend our sympathies to Milton's family. Ellen Morris & Jean Tudhope

Our hearts are broken knowing you are gone, Milton. We are thankful for your peace though and wish you farewell. You were a true friend to my mom, Dot, and we will always be grateful. Your love, passion for all things beautiful and dry sense of humor and wit will be with us forever. Love, Laura, Chris, Annie and Sam
