Alice Lynn Niemi

1965 - 2023

The family of Alice Lynn Niemi are heartbroken to announce her sudden passing on February 8, 2023 at the age of 57. Alice was born on March 21, 1965 in Port Arthur, Ontario to Kosti and Veronica Niemi. She was raised and educated in Thunder Bay earning her accounting degree at Confederation College. We were all proud of her excellent grades and many accomplishments during her school years and her career as Financial Administrator for several First Nation organizations in Thunder Bay. Alice was predeceased by her brother Tom, father Kosti, and mother Veronica. Alice will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Her daughter Tiffany Allen (Jody), son Graham Cole (Allie) grandchildren Daniel, Jacob, Eve and soon to be born Zoe. Her siblings Tim Niemi, Terry Niemi (Catherine), Nancy Magi (Robin), Susan Hall (Alan), her Aunt Karen Kiiskila and many nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend Pekka Saarinen. Alice was a beautiful, generous, kind and caring person with a great sense of humour. She was quick to share whatever she had with those in need. She was proud of her Finnish and Algonquin Indigenous roots. She was a free spirit, adventurous, compassionate and loved animals. She will be missed by her dear cat Ruby, her granddog Charlie and grandcat Phillip. A celebration of life will be announced and take place at a future date.
