Melvin Hopkins Obituary

Melvin John Hopkins passed away peacefully at his residence on December 19, 2010 at the age of 80. Mel was born in Clanwilliam, MB, one of 7 children born to Allen and Dorothy Hopkins. Mel was predeceased by his wife Lois and son Allen. He is survived by his sister Violet Johnson of Courtney, BC; children Lynda Waldon (Russel), Wendy Zellweger (Al), Penny Hurely (Glen) and Donald Hopkins; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Mel was Chief Custodian for Northwood High school from 1963 - 1989 when he retired. Funeral services for those wishing to celebrate Mel's life will be held on December 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at Jenkens Funeral Home.
