To me, “Mr. Parker” was full of life and conviction, and more than a little mischievious. Our parents all had so much fun when they met together, and supported each other in their deep faith and reverence for life. I know all of us Szetela's are thinking of your family during this loss, and of the goodness to enjoy life and have a close family. This is a beautiful picture of Mr. Parker!

While memories begin to dim, one I will never forget was how welcomed you felt when visiting the Parker home. Mr. and Mrs. Parker always had an extra minute or two to sit down at the kitchen table to talk with us (even though we could be insufferable teenagers at times!). Bill was a kind and considerate man and his affection for "Nita" always made me smile. I too, fondly remember the morning tea served to us after a sleepover. It was a very thoughtful act...or a clever way to get us up and out of bed!

When I told my mother that Bill had passed away she said "oh dear, that was your second home". She said I spent more time at "the Parker's" than my own home! Thank you for your generosity and for putting up with us Mr. Parker - you will be missed. Thinking of all your family at this time.

Uncle Bill (the only name by which I ever knew him) was a gem. I count myself blessed to have spent as much time with him as I did and only wish I had met him much sooner! My condolences to the family.

I have been part of the extended Parker family since 1970, I can't imagine my life otherwise. I was honoured to have been able to call him Uncle Bill and Auntie Anita.
I have many fond memories, one of falling down the stairs in December 1973 shattering my arm in 3 places. Uncle Bill put a mattress in the back of the station wagon and drove to the hospital and then sat with my Mother.
The love and kindness and generosity of spirit will never leave me. Thank you for being a favourite part of my 8B Ave childhood.

Our condolences to the whole family. Bill was a great man and a great person. He has been an exceptional friend to the Samson family since they moved here from Nova Scotia in the 70s. He reared loving children with the same values so his legacy of kindness will continue on. Bill, give Anita and Steve hugs for us.

I was very lucky to be part of the Parker extended family growing up and Bill was a focal part of my childhood. I do not think words can capture the love that emanated from the Parker family but the closeness in that family was due to the incredible parenting of Bill and Anita. The best legacy someone can leave is a loving family and by every
measure of success Bill achieved that goal.
