Elizabeth Closs 85, of Joes Lake passed away on May 6th, 2023 with family by her side. She was born to the late James and Mabel MacDonald on May 12th, 1937 in Cache Bay, Ontario. Along with her four siblings she moved to Joes Lake, Ontario where she met her future husband. She married the late Raymond Closs in 1956 and together they had seven children. She enjoyed her later life with the late Melvin Foster of Almonte. Elizabeth is survived by Judy (Tony) Dube, Richard (Linda Wyslouzil) Closs, Debra (Percy) Wadia, Sandra (Steve) Riopelle, Terry (late Judy) Closs, Emily Cooper and the late Linda Susan Closs. She had thirteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. A graveside service will take place at the Hopetown Cemetery, Hopetown Ontario on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon and celebration of life will follow at 5721 Highway 511 Lanark (Rick & Linda's, Hopetown). Friends are welcome.If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
