Sylvia May MAHYR

MAHYR, Sylvia May (nee Kinash): Passed into the presence of Jesus November 1, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband, Nicholas; children: Adrian(Linda) of Oliver, BC, Julian(Sue) of Parksville, BC, Wendell(Marj) of Summerland, BC and Angela of Penticton, BC; grandchildren Alexis, Larissa, Nicholas and Josiah. Sadly predeceased by parents Nestor and Pauline, brothers Nick and Stan, sisters Kay, Alice and Elsie and first granddaughter, Kari. Born in Winnipeg, MB, Sylvia was a classical pianist with a degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Sylvia had a kind heart for everyone, especially her "poochie pies". She would pick the saddest looking dogs in the shelter to adopt, love and nurture. Chomkailulu Mama, we will see you in Heaven. We love you. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Penticton Lakeview Cemetery, Pastor Don Schneider officiating. Memorial tributes may be made to the South Okanagan SPCA.
