With heavy hearts and an abundance of warm memories, the family of Andy Beskal, announce his passing on December 18, 2021 at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, SK.

Andrew "Andy" Beskal was born on November 28, 1927 in Cudworth, SK walking 3 miles to school in Cudworth where he got his grade 8. Andy went to Calgary and worked at a lumber yard, sold electronics and worked at a door factory. At age 22 he was a foreman and worked at the shipyard loading grain at Churchill, Manitoba for two winters.

Andy moved back to Prince Albert and drove taxi for the winter. He owned Diamond Cab and also sold cars for Regent Motors for a while. He bought a truck and hauled rails and fence posts to ranchers in southern Saskatchewan.

On December 5, 1964, Andy married Patricia Ede. Andy bought a few trucks and front-end loaders and hauled topsoil, manure and peat moss for gardens and dug basements.

Andy worked for ferry's fixing river landings. He worked in the north clearing trees and building roads and pads for Sask-Tel tower sites.

In 1971, Andy bought Trappers Beach at Candle Lake where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and waterskiing until he was 80 years old. He enjoyed dancing at the Minus One and Single Parent dances.

After Andy retired, he was a volunteer for over 20 years. He started dancing at the seniors' homes in Prince Albert and surrounding towns. He made the arrangements and called all the band members and dancers who where also volunteers. The band was called The Good Time Band.

Andy and Pat enjoyed vacations in Florida, Arizona, Europe and Mexico.

I wasent aware of Andy´s passing until today. I grew up in trappers cabin until the age of 6 yrs old before my family(The Trelenbergs) moved to Prince Albert. My first memories were of Trappers cabin and Trapper of course. When my mother Faith passed away... Andy allowed us on the land and we threw her ashes from the rock dock in 2004. Andy brought us into Trappers cabin. Wow ... he never moved a thing from when Trapper passed a way. It was totally going back in time. Remembering all those wonderful memories. My father, Andy, Trapper, Pat & my mother sitting at the table in Trappers little cabin having beers. The smell of fire in the fireplace. I very fond memories of Andy. I know you will be resting in peace Andy
