Mary Lou Jarvis

Mary Lou Jarvis passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 at the age of 87. She was a loving and devoted wife of Don for 65 years. She will forever be missed by her daughters Janice (Brian) and Rhonda (Tony) and her grandchildren Graham, Amanda, Kayla and Vanessa. She was an amazing wife and mother who cared deeply for all and made a difference in every life she touched. She was devoted to her family, friends and her community. Whether it be a call, a visit, or a delivery of some of her delicious home baking, Mary Lou was always there to support someone in need. She was an active member of Central United Church for over 60 years, and was active in the Girl Guides as a leader and volunteer for over 30 years. Don and Mary Lou had a group of amazing friends with whom they enjoyed many activities, bridge and bowling being two of Mary Lou's favourites. She was a member of the Welland Curling Club for many years and also enjoyed golfing. She was a skilled knitter and sewer; many new babies of friends and family received a lovingly made set of Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls. Thank you for the care and comfort provided by the Lookout Ridge staff and the Welland Hospital Emergency Room staff. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, February 3, 2023 after 10 a.m. with a service to celebrate her life in the chapel at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Central United Church, Welland.
