Otto Rohrer Obituary

1938-2023

Passed away peacefully at Albright Manor on January 26, 2023, in his 85th year. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Margaret Rohrer and his sisters Hella, Edith and Annie and his brothers Frank and Frederick. Otto will be dearly missed by his daughter Heidi (Ben), his son Robert (Tracy), and his granddaughters Robin (Bill), Ashley (Martin), Katelyn (Joel). Will forever be missed by family and friends. Otto was a long-time resident of Pelham where his happiness was fulfilled on his 10 acre hobby farm. Otto was a very good and involved father who loved and supported his family. He enjoyed many years working at Atlas Steel. After retirement, he was always willing to lend a helping hand in family projects. He loved fishing and his granddaughters have fond memories of fishing off the dock and paddle boating on the Welland river. Otto had a fulfilling life here but he often reminisced about his homeland and family in Austria. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, you may contact the town of Welland to donate a tree in his name. https://www.welland.ca/parks/MemorialPrograms.asp

Uncle Otto will always be remembered deep in my heart. What a wonderful uncle he was to me and my family. I will never forget everything he has done for us. My sympathies to my cousins Heidi and Rob and their families.

To the family of Otto Frederick Rohrer.
I have known Otto for the last few years of his life at the Albright Manor. He was a valuable permanent member of the close-knit Friday morning Breakfast Club. Otto was a wonderful, generous man and someone I will greatly miss.
Heartful condolences to his family.
