Sybe KATSMAR

KATSMAR, Sybe Passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Carol. He leaves behind his children Richard (Cher), the late John (2016), Hank, Diane and his stepson Rudy (Lisa). Loving grandfather of Matthew, Cody, Hank, Mackenzie, Megan and Tristan. Great-grandfather of Angelia. Cherished brother of Hamie, Yde and Hendrikus, all of the Netherlands. Sybe worked at the Ontario Paper Mill for 32 years where he was known by friends as Dutchie. He was an avid gardener, who loved his dogs and all things connected to nature. Sybe also enjoyed travelling throughout Europe and across Canada from coast to coast. He will be sadly missed by many. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME , 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, May 11th from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 12th from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. with a family reception to follow.
