Dear Nancy -- and all in your family: with great sorrow in my heart I learn of Bill's death, and with deep regret, I cannot join you at St. Alfred Church for the funeral Mass, as I have a burial to lead in Niagara Falls at the same time. I retain strong memories of a valiant man, a courageous man, who lived a life of seeming adversity with a serenity about him that was admirable. I truly believe that his approach to life was fortified by his faith. And I would like to add a word of appreciation to you, his prime caregivers over the years, for embracing him lovingly all along the way. May this good soul rest peacefully now, and be rewarded for his labours on this earth. Be assured of my own prayers and those of the parish here in NL. Love to you, (Fr.) Peter T. Rowe

Great memories of golfing with Billy at Hunter´s, Gettysburg, Arizona, Myrtle, and Scottish Heights. What a short game!

He was good at the long game too, focussing on family, career, friends, and community service.

A good friend. A loss to all who knew him. He will be missed.

Condolences to Nancy, the boys, and the family.
