(nee KERSHNER) OCTOBER 21, 1926 ­ JANUARY 12, 2010 CELIA BERN Sadly, after a long illness, Celia Kershner Bern passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at her residence in Montreal. Beloved wife of the late Samuel. Devoted mother of Roslyn, Sheldon, and Ivan. Grandmother of Simone and Charles. Sister of Sidney Kershner. Sister-in-law of Charles (Chuck) and Debbie Bern, the late Morris and the late Toba Hersh. She lived her life with passion, and will be remembered for her love of singing and the arts. Her daughter wishes to personally thank the wonderful staff at the Waldorf for their assistance in the past five years, and the amazing caregivers, specifically Dawn, Carol, Sylvia, Paulette, Oditha and Rachel, as well as the staff at Equinoxe. A private graveside service took place on Friday, January 15.
