George has good memories of his time spent in the Anesthesia departments with Gordon, throughout their training.

Hello Estelle. Heartfelt condolences to you, your children & grandchildren. Many years retired & now in Winnipeg, I still hold fresh & very fond memories of socializing with (very bright & always interesting!) you and having Gordon as my boss. Indeed my best boss ever! for the 10 Happy years he served as Deputy Chief at Mount Sinai. Calm, warm, funny, gracious and supportive. He did a superb job of recruiting/hiring & regrowing a very impressive academic Dept. that had been battered & depleted by various forces in the immediately preceding years.
