BRUNTON, John (Jack) McLeod
The family sadly announces the death of Jack on Friday, May 11, 2001 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Cowie). Loving father of Nancy and husband Bill Barber, Barbara Bowlby and partner Mary Jo Thompson, and John and wife Franny. Most proud Grandpa of Heather and husband Alex Hill, Patty and husband Glenn Jones, Debbie and Doug Bowlby, Jessica, Jackie and Leslie Brunton and step-grandpa of Megan Ferneley. Brother-in-law of Frances Molson, dear uncle to many nieces and nephews, and fondly remembered by numerous friends. Predeceased by brother Arthur Brunton and sister Jane Nelles. Jack was first and foremost a family man. He was Past President of Cashway Lumber and a former Director of the Jockey Club of Canada. ;Thanks for the memories; we'll miss you dearly. Special thanks for the kind and excellent care received at St. Michael's Hospital. A Service in Celebration and Thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at 2 o'clock at GRACE CHURCH ONTHE-HILL, 300 Londsdale Road, followed by interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association, Suite 800, 15 Toronto Street, Toronto M5C 2E3 or St. Michael's Hospital Palliative Care Unit Fund, 4FS, 30 Bond Street, Toronto M5B 1W8 and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
