MONTANA MARIA Obituary

MARIA MONTANA
(NEE PALMIERI) 1954 - 2007 Maria left us peacefully on September 18th at our home, overlooking her garden, with family and friends at her side. Cancer has killed the body but not her Spirit. Maria's grace, beauty and special warmth was felt by all. Always one to think of others before herself, she'll be fondly remembered for her caring generous Spirit, her gentle charm and wonderful smile. Maria will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Lou, children Joey and Vanessa; her loving dog Terra; brothers Adrian and Angelo, brother-in-law Mario; sisters-in-law Liz, Nicol and Diana, and father-in-law Angelo. Dear Zia to nieces and nephews, Michael, Katie, Sara, Lisa, Simon, Michaella and Stefan. Maria has gone to join her pre-deceased mother, Gilda; father, Antonio and mother-inlaw, Franca. Maria will also be missed by her cousins, aunts, uncles and many close friends who she has touched with her warm personality and love throughout the years. She will also be especially missed by her best friend 'Lucy #2' (Linda). Visitation will be held at THE ELGIN MILLS VISITATION CHAPEL AND RECEPTION CENTERE (905-737-1720) 1591 Elgin Mills Rd Richmond Hill on Friday September 21st from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Friends are invited to join in a celebration of Maria's life on Saturday September 22nd at 11:00am in the Elgin Mills Chapel. Maria loved flowers but donations can also be made in her honour to the yet to be built Southlake Regional Cancer Center, Newmarket (1-877-457-2036), where we plan to establish a permanent memorial.
