Sue (Saide Maude) MacDonald 1916 - 2017
A remarkable force, Sue's strength and tenacity were evident even in her final hours. Always willful and determined, her conviction never wavered. Sue took great pleasure in the company of family and her many friends. The home she shared with Bud was always open, filled with warmth, laughter, fresh baking and good cheer. Sue was intelligent, generous, thoughtful and deeply caring - and we loved her for it. Sue was the daughter of the late Marion and Peter MacDonald, wife of the late Howard (Bud) MacDonald, mother of Scott (Jennifer) and Ian (Diane MacDiarmid), and proud grandmother to Kate, Alasdair, Kenzie and Angus. Special thanks to caregivers Cyndi Johnston and Jacinta (Priscilla w. Mwaura) and the many fine and caring past helpers, Dr. Omar Zayid, and the Halton palliative care team who made it possible for Sue to live at home. A small family gathering will be arranged at a later date.
